Social media is on the verge of becoming a marketing necessity in today’s device-driven world and, at the very least, is a valuable tool to reach consumers with information about products and promotions. Though the opportunity is great, so are the challenges. Companies wishing to take part in social media marketing are tasked with allocating influencers and understanding the nuances of the various platforms, including who key audiences are and how to effectively communicate information while adhering FTC regulations. This session will review:

  • Social media marketing regulations, including disclosure requirements and recent FTC enforcement actions;
  • A look at the influencer community, and how to allocate and partner with influencers; and
  • Marketing considerations such as effective messaging and audience engagement.
